Ambleside Gem was a perfect location. Visiting family who live in the town. Very warm and cosy. Bus station a minutes walk away so off to Kendal, also highly recommend Hawkshead and a fabulous walk to Jenkyns Grag. Oh and the cinema! Ambleside looked fabulous for Christmas, looking out from the balcony was extra special. Hope to be back in 2026. Thank you Craig and Trevor.

We had a lovely time here and were surprised by how peaceful it was, when so close to Ambleside. Cosy, spotlessly clean and comfy (just a bit dark when we arrived so hard to find key safe, also sister followed the earlier fork in the road and arrived at the back door, which would have been very confusing if she was first there, so directions might need clarifying)  We will definitely book this place again, it was a lovely home from home, perfect whether it was cold and raining or sunny and bright (we had both!) my partner and i had a lovely stay here just before the christmas rush. perfect location, close to the ferry, so much place filled with lots of amenities. we were thrilled when we saw the christmas decorations which made the place feel cosy in the evenings.  we will definitely be back next :)

Gorgeous place really well done. Loved the log fire. Feels really remote but is very close to Kendal. The final road on the approach to the property is single track with very few passing places - be prepared to reverse a good distance if you do manage to come across someone coming the other way (very quiet area so hopefully not a problem!)

Located in the heart of Ambleside the apartment is lovely, with three king sized beds each with their own ensuites. Clean and modern with great views over the town. A great find that we will return to. A few steps up to the apartment and unloading / parking a little more challenging as central but worth the extra 10mins.

This is the second time we styaed in this beautiful Flat and we will never stay anywhere else again. The location is ideal in the middle of ambleside with plenty of walks (And pubs!) right on your door step. The Smart lcoaks and ALexa check in are perfect and super easy to use and elimnate the taks of carriyng and worrying about keys. The balcony  is so special and i could have eaily spent half my trip on there ( If it wasnt for the weather). Overall the whole apartment is incredible, the kitchen facilites, the comfiest bed i have stayed on in a holiday rental and the samrt TV. We will 100000% Percent be back next year :)

The apartment was amazing, really spacious and modern. It was equipped with everything you could need for a short stay. it's located just in the city center with close proximity to the supermarkets, cafes and stores. The only minor problem was that the parking space, that was offered, was too far away from the unit but for us it wasn't a big deal, we managed to park closer for a couple of pounds.

We had a great time and were very comfortable for the two nights we stayed.  The kitchen and dining area was fully equipped and had everything we needed.  The bathrooms were lovely and updated and the linens were of high quality.  The location was right in the middle of everything but also very quiet and peaceful at night.  We would happily stay again and highly recommend this place to anyone.  It was great!

Such a lovely week in grasmere. Not bothered about the gates to get there, only makes the experience more secluded and fun. Really great space, everything you need. Kitchen well equipped and views were great. Thanks for having us and the dog :)

This is a fabulous place to stay in Ambleside. It is very close to the centre and the parking space means you don't need to worry about getting into town. The property is very modern and clean and I felt very safe there. The instructions for getting there, getting in, finding things and how things work were very good. We were here in December and it was lovely and warm Great kitchen with plenty of space to prepare and store food with top quality appliances. I felt very at home here and will definitely stay here again

Extremely nice place in a peaceful part of the lakes. Nice and cosy living space for those rainy days. Easy access to good walking from the doorstep and close to Coniston for more adventurous hiking. The property is very well furnished and spacious for one or two  people. I strongly recommend this place. I hope to be back soon!

Absolutely fantastic four nights away! Perfect location - secluded, beautiful, incredible scenery but then a 20 minute walk to lovely village of Grasmere where we could finish up in the pub after a dog walk. We loved the house and it had everything we needed, also open-plan which suited the dogs so they felt immediately at home. Will be looking to book back in for next year to explore more of the Lake District and Cumbria! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

This was the loveliest stay, the flat was spacious, so clean and had everything you needed, the added touches of all the games, maps and decor made it feel so homely. Having two huge bathrooms with two showers and a bath felt like luxury! The location was perfect and quick walk down a little steep hill and you were in the centre of Ambleside. This was our second stay at this AirBnb, the first time being a few years ago. The flat is perfectly located for the town, and easy to get in and out of by car. The bathroom is good and very clean, with a spotless shower. The kitchen is well-equipped, we mostly bring our own food and can always find the right equipment to cook various things. Would definitely recommend.

The place was very good, the kitchen and living space were very cozy and was really nice to just chill in, there is a tv in every room which was a nice touch. There were a couple setbacks however, which included alot of cobwebs and dust on the walls, beds being very wobbly so quite difficult to sleep on with more than one person, the radiators in the bathrooms can get very hot to the point we actually got burnt on touch. Also, due to the long drive back we asked for late checkout which we were informed wasn’t possible due to another customer checking in that same day however their Alexa informed us that we were able to extend our stay when we were there… However, even after these minor setbacks I would still recommend to stay in this place as the location perfect, 5 mins away from Ambleside and 15mins to the north of lake windermere. Theres also some really nice hikes just a few mins away.

We had a lovely few days stay despite the weather and storm Amy. Very comfortable, clean and modern accommodation, well positioned for town and local walks. Accommodation was spotless. Having a dishwasher was handy and there were dishwasher tablets provided. The kitchen was well stocked with decent plates, cereal bowls and pasta bowls (we find a lot of accommodation do not provide pasta bowls). The only thing I feel is missing is a bigger pot to cook curry/bolognaise etc. I had to manage with the larger saucepan which wasn’t that big and also more teaspoons needed (there plenty of knives, forks and larger spoons but 5 teaspoons). If we come back to Ambleside in the future we will definitely book Church View again. Thank you

Overall we had an ok stay here. The good - Brilliant location, short walk to the main street, bars and restaurants walkable. Co-op and Tesco Express walking distance and you can complete nice scenic walks without having to drive. Car parking best i have had with an air bnb. Both bedrooms have an en suite and a TV. Cafe on the front street for breakfast. Key box at the door to get you in easliy. The bad - The cleaning team let this place down. Upstairs was not hoovered prior to our arrival, the place is covered in marks on the walls and carpet. There was left over deodorant under one of the beds and an old newspaper under one of the sofas. There was a smell in the living room/kitchen and the fridge also had a smell to it. I was told there was an iron so didn't take one then could not find it. I also requested a late check out which was eventually granted (thank you) but i had to ask and ask and kept being asked to check closer to the day. Not bad but not fantastic

Very private, cosy and clean. Within walking distance of the town centre. Hosts were very quick and responsive when I had an issue with the WiFi and would definitely stay again.
