Description

Located in the desirable Falls development in what is considered old Ambleside lies the gorgeous Kingfisher Cottage. Originally thought to power the adjoining bobbin Mill, Kingfisher Cottage now provides a comfortable and spacious holiday home, ideal for couples and small families alike. Overlooking the water cascading down the rocks of Stockghyll Gorge creating a relaxing and private stay with spacious living accommodation and not only one but two private terraces. The space From its own private parking bay (additional use of visitors bays if staying with more than one car are available) a set of stone steps lead to a large terrace with gas bbq and an abundance of outdoor seating overlooking the gorge, the perfect place for a relaxing twilight drink whilst listening to the water flowing over the rocks. The Terrace leads to the properties own private entrance. Off the main hall there is a spacious king sized bedroom and family bathroom, which benefits from a bath to rest those achey legs after a day on the fells as well as a shower above. The Large bedroom can also be arranged with a foldaway bed for a child. The Kitchen is located on the lower ground floor with an inframe style kitchen, quartz worktops and everything you need to prepare a light breakfast or gourmet meal. There is a cute terrace off the kitchen with direct views to the gorge below. A few steps up off the hallway leads to the large lounge area with a beautiful vaulted ceiling, This room also has a very comfortable guest sofa bed which is ideal for 2 additional guests. Please ensure to let us know if there will be additional guests staying so we can make sure the correct bedding is supplied, correct pricing will be shown when the correct number of guests are selected. Guest access You will have access to the whole property during your stay including the terraces and private parking bay. Other things to note The property is dog friendly for 1 well behaved pet which must not be left in the property unattended or on the furniture, there is an £15 additional charge per stay. Any damages to the property guests will be liable to pay for. There is a BBQ on the Patio which you are welcome to use, please ensure that the BBQ is left completely clean on departure otherwise additional charges will be payable.View More
